Thursday evening shall see Conwy Borough Swifts welcome Penrhyn Bay FC to Y Morfa in our second fixture of a busy pre-season schedule.

📝 Penrhyn Bay:

Nestled along the picturesque North Wales coast, Penrhyn Bay FC has steadily grown from a modest local side into a dynamic and ambitious club, earning recognition for its commitment to player development, community engagement, and competitive spirit.

Penrhyn Bay FC was founded with the goal of providing accessible football opportunities to people of all ages and abilities in the Penrhyn Bay and Llandudno area. What began as a grassroots initiative has blossomed into a multi-team organisation, with junior, youth, and senior teams all wearing the club’s badge with pride.

One of Penrhyn Bay FC’s standout achievements has been the success of its youth academy. The club has invested heavily in nurturing young talent, with a dedicated coaching team focused on developing both technical skills and character. This focus has produced players who have gone on to compete at higher levels in the Welsh football pyramid and beyond.

The youth teams consistently perform well in their respective leagues and cups, regularly finishing among the top positions and bringing silverware back to the club.

Penrhyn Bay FC’s senior team has also made significant strides in recent years. Competing in regional leagues, the squad has steadily climbed the divisions thanks to a blend of experience and promising homegrown talent. The team’s playing style is characterised by tactical discipline, high work rate, and attacking flair, earning them a loyal following of supporters.

Club officials have expressed clear ambitions to continue the rise through the Welsh football structure, with long-term plans to improve facilities and infrastructure to match their on the field goals.

🗣️ Gaffer’s Thoughts:

Looking ahead to the game, Conwy Borough Swifts manager, Simon Allen, said: “We had a good run out against Llanrwst United last weekend, it was good to get some competitive minutes into the lads, and that’s what we’ll be looking to do again against Penrhyn Bay.

“They’re a good side, and we’ll be looking to start to build our own combinations up ahead of the season and continue what has so far been some really good preparation for the new campaign.”
